Solving business challenges through co-design

Challenge

BNP Paribas wanted to bring disparate departments together to create change via working in teams to solve complex and wide-ranging business challenges. The overall aim was to improve the end-to-end experience for customers.

Insight

Through bringing employees together we could provide an opportunity for the previously disconnected teams to find solutions to pain points identified within their internal processes. Greater business-wide teamwork would align teams to the same objectives, foster a culture of collaboration across departments and in turn improve the customer experience.

Approach

We led a three day seminar with seventy employees across teams from front-office to back-office, IT, Marketing, Legal and HR co-designing solutions to challenges affecting various parts of the business. During the workshop we focused on ten main challenges and participants mapped the AS-IS experiences and created prototypes of the TO-BE experience using Business Origami to ideate solutions.

Result

From the seminar ten solutions were designed with a prioritised action plan and roadmap. The seminar also connected teams together and aligned them with a focus towards a single objective of improving the end-to-end process, end-user experience and employee experience.
